Second Ring Road
Second Ring Road – Omdurman sector:
- Is considered to be one of the most important roads in Khartoum state. It is determined to be in the urban area and is known to prevent the flow of transportation from other states to enter the center of Khartoum.
- In the planning, it is contained an urban center, main stations for whom come from other states, the main public central station
- It has high capacity from other states to center Khartoum or other states
This project aims to involve the private sector in the implementation of infrastructure projects through the introduction of PPP, and targets the circular road around the road contributes to the revenues to be used to support the project for example (sports - heritage - cultural example: libraries + theaters - entertainment, such as cafeterias and resorts - markets for the sale of local products - service stations).
