Dr. Bushara has nineteen (19) years of working experience covers wide range of civil and water resources themes including project management,  river basin management, planning and development, management of mega agricultural schemes, water supply, climate change, environmental issues, water quality, and groundwater management.

Dr Bushara has proven good knowledge of project management in many different and complex projects in Africa and Middle East, including administrations, technical, budgets, executions, evaluations, contracts, biddings, monitoring and planning. Dr Bushara has good experience in hydromet studies, applications of remote sensing and GIS for water resources studies, hydrological modeling, geostatistics, regional climate modeling, irrigation, lakes management, soil moisture monitoring, sampling and evolution, river morphology and river training, sediment monitoring, ecohydrology, water quality, tracer hydrology, water harvesting studies, geophysics, geotechnics, geology, Dams operations, water resource management, urban hydrology compromises design of storwater drainage networks, canals and pump stations including mechanical and electrical works, hydraulic studies, capacity building programs, research and teaching in water resources field, water conflict: prevention and resolution, transboundary issues of water resources, flash floods, spate irrigation, participatory approaches and stakeholders involvement in water resources management, and decision support system (DSS). Dr Bushara is familiar with hydromet networks and WMO standards for hydromet networks. Dr Bushara has good experience of physical and numerical models for water resources applications. Dr Bushara has varying experience in water resources field in different countries in America, Europe, Africa, Asia and Middle East. Dr Bushara has good experience in working with international donors and civil societies. Dr Bushara has good leadership skills and capable of working under pressure. Dr Bushara has proven to work individually and within a team. Dr Bushara has good experience in surveys for water resources applications. Dr Bushara has published books, articles in peer reviewed journals, conferences, and technical reports.
