Nada Sid Ahmed Eljack holds a Ph.D. in the field of linguistics from Sudan University of Science and Technology. She has a CELTA certificate, awarded from Cambridge University, UK (British Council, Sudan). This is in addition to a B Phil ed in ELT from Exeter University, Plymouth, UK. She had an MA in ELT from the University of Khartoum, College of Education and a BA in English and Arabic from the University of Khartoum, Faculty of Arts.

 

 

She was the President of ASTEL, an associate of IATEFL in Sudan for three years. She was in charge of the department of University Requirements at SUST and a coordinator for MA in translation with the college of graduates as well. She Participates in postgraduate colleges in other universities in teaching and supervising a number of MA and Ph.D. candidates. Her research focuses on national identity in language textbooks in Sudan, language ideologies,
Arabiciastion language policy and the cultural politics of language in Sudan.

 

 

She worked as an associate professor for Sudan University of Science and Technology. She currently works as a Director General at Sudan National Centre for Languages (SNCL/SELTI).

 

 

Some of her research has been published in the Arab World English Journal, the Journal of Multilingual and Multicultural Development and the Journal of African Cultural Studies.
