I have PhD in Human Genetics. My main field of research is in Disorders of Sexual Development (DSDs) and cancer genetics research.

I did part of my PhD in Leubeck University through the German Academy for exchange services (DAAD) Award. Beside that I have postdoctoral fellowships from the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC), Lyon, France; partially supported by the European Commission FP7 Marie Curie Actions-people-co-funding of regional, national and international programs (COFUND), 2011-2013. I also have Arturo Falaschi Postdoctoral fellowship from the International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotchnology (ICGEB), Trieste, Italy (2017). Recently I have been Senior Scientist fellowship from women for Africa foundation, Bilbao, Spain.

I am a memeber in the International disorder of sexual development registry (I-DSD), representing Sudan. I am also a memeber in the International society for Hypospadia and intersex Disorders (ISHD).

I was the Principle investigator for the Upper Aerodiagestive Tract project (2014-2016). I have been selected for IARC 50 FOR 50 Award: Empowering future cancer research leaders in developing countries.

I have participated in different international and national conferences, workshops and meetings. I have also more than 20 papers in internationaly and local previewed journals.
