President of Society of Dongola Girls High school Graduates (Saraya)
➢ The Saraya school is considered one of the largest Sudanese girls boarding schools in the northern State of Sudan since 1960 with 1200 students studying in it. Most of the girls who made their way to the universities and colleges did have their education at Saraya school. In 2009 an unsuccessful buying and selling corrupt deal was made and the school was sold.
the society has been established in 2010. their main goal was to serve education especially girls’ education and to stop that unfair deal.
➢ The Society with the cooperation of the Society of Dongola boys school graduates and other faithful people succeeded to maintain and keep back the school.
➢ The Society carried out a re-habitation for the school(dorms, fence, food court and sanitary, and some classrooms.
➢ One of the main projects of the society was providing 53 State schools with food supported by Mr.Osama Dawood President of Dal Group, for Sudanese high school certificate Camps. Most of these schools are boarding schools. There has been continued since 2010 and has been reflected positively on the student’s grades. Saraya society is proud to be part of that success.
